This beautiful retreat is located within 10 miles of the Peak District
National Park and within easy reach of; Ashbourne - Dovedale, Manifold
Valley and the Tissington Trail (35 mins), Matlock - Carsington Water,
Heights of Abraham and Middleton Top (20 mins), Bakewell - Haddon Hall,
Chatsworth House and the Bakewell Market on Mondays (35 mins) and
Buxton (50 mins) along with the many and varied walks in this area.
There are lots of activities nearby if the weather isn't great for
walking such as Gulliver's Kingdom and Temple Mine in and around
Matlock Bath, the National Tramway Museum, Hardwick Hall and Wingfield
Manor are just around the corner and Alton Towers is less than an hour
away. There is a brand new leisure complex in Sutton-in-Ashfield with
gym, indoor swimming and ice skating. A gym and pool complex is due to
open summer 2009 just a 5 minute walk from the house.
